A former West Hampstead resident, Ted Bailey, has sent Northwest 6 a personal account of the V2 rocket attack that devastated part of Iverson Road on 8 January 1945.


Ted was born in Maygrove Road in 1931, moved to Iverson Road with his family a couple of years later and - after a spell in Essex - back to West Hampstead at the outbreak of war in 1939. His family
